Academic Programs
Cibola is proud of its academic programs. Special needs are addressed through Advanced Placement (AP), Honors, Inclusion and special programs such as our ISP (Intensive Support Program). AP courses are offered in Art, Language Arts, History, Psychology, Physics, Modern and Classical Languages and Math. There is something for just about everyone. Cibola students continue to score at or above the national and state levels on a variety of tests. It is part of Cibola’s continuous improvement process to increase student achievement and attendance through developing our Career Pathways program as a strategy to help students become more self-directed.
Cibola High School’s advisory program connects each student and their family with a dedicated staff member who provides academic guidance, updates the student’s Next Step Plan, and shares important school-related information. Advisory meetings are held each fall and spring, and parent participation is expected. The advisory curriculum, designated as Level All by the New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED), supports student planning and goal-setting.
