Hello Cibola HS Community,
This is my first year at Cibola HS and I'm very excited to start teaching Art. I will be teaching Art 1 and Painting and Drawing. Last year was my first year teaching and before that I was a Computer Tech for roughly 20 years. Even though working with technology is how I have made a living in the past, Art has always been a strong interest of mine.
I'm from Minnesota, where I graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1993 with a degree to teach Art, K-12. After graduating, I moved to Albuquerque and have been here since.
As an Artist, Oil Painting is my medium of choice. But I try to use a variety of mediums and appreciate Art in all it's 2-D and 3-D forms. In my classes, I hope to improve the skills of all my students as Artists. Additionally, I hope to stimulate an appreciation for Art and Art History to enrich the lives of my students.
