Welcome to Inclusion Mathematics

Welcome students and parents.  I am your Inclusion consultant for the Mathematics department.  As such, I am going in and out of all the Inclusion Mathematics classes assisting the students and teachers.     

    My purpose is to provide the needed support to enable the students to succeed in their Math class.  Examples of that support may include preferential seating, repeating directions, frequent checking for understanding, restating lessons using lower vocabulary, modifying tests and testing environments, adult assistance, and ensuring that all modifications and accommodations per the student's IEP are being implemented.

     In the inclusion model, both teachers support all students in acquiring the skills associated with the content area.  This can involve adapting the content, methodology or delivery of instruction as appropriate to meet the needs of the individual student.

     I will support the individual, general education teacher's policies regarding attendance, behavior, class rules, expectations, and work ethics as they have outlined in their class syllabus.
